almost a year!!

wow. It's been 6 months since I posted last. Kinda sad. But I have many very good reasons:
1. As soon as I came back from Guate, I started working fulltime, for the first time in over a year, at Auggie's preschool. I needed to work as much as possible to get us through the Fall semester, where essentially I would be working for free. It was hard to adjust, harder than I thought it would be. But, I had a great time in the toddler room there, & the expierence was exactly what Hayden needed to get completly potty-trained. I hope that the center will need a teacher ever summer!!
2. I completed my final student teaching semester. four months of essentailly working fulltime, but with no pay. Think: intern. It was tough, & I had a great Master teacher that pushed me to work hard & develop strong teaching skills, esp. in classroom management. During the semester, I was also working at my mom's McD's on the weekends to help with the income, as we were paying $$ for daycare that we didn't have. It was rough, but we got by. Thank goodness for the dollar store and costco.
3. well, I have three kids who have grown in numerous ways. Auggie started Kindergarten & is excelling at rapid speed. Really, there is a lot to write here, so I'll save this section for another post.
4. Justin has a job too. I had to rely on him soo much the last few months. I'm grateful he works for Google, for many reasons, but mainly beacuse they have a familiy focus & allowed Justin to pick up auggie from school & let him hang out at the office (as we had no $$ for him to be in afterschool care).
5. the house. Yet another reason why I don't rember to post here. Not only are there soo many projects to work on, but it is bigger than the duplex, therefore more rooms to clean. & with 3 kids, nothing stays clean for more than an hour. I've decided that once I start teaching, we are hiring a housekeeper to clean bathrooms & fold laundry (the chore Justin & I fight over who will do it.)

So as you can see... a lot of valid reasons on why this does not get updated much. But I'll try to do this more often. *Try*, not promise :)
