What's new pussy cat?

whoa whoaooo oh whoa.....

well, i've been keeping busy doing the whole SAHM thing. Auggie goes to school all day, 5 days a week. While i like that I have one less kid to deal with during the day, i don't like paying all that money for him to be out of the way, basically. I want to put him M-F 5 days a week just in the morning, but just found out that it would mean switching classrooms. I really don't want to do that to him b/c he has soo many friends in his current class & it sounds like the other teacher isn't as good. oh well i guess.

Hayden, however, NEEDS to be in childcare. We have the wrong kid in it. He's sooo shy, more shy than auggie even. I got him going to KidsPark every once in a while, but since it is drop-off care, he doesn't have the same opportunity to make friends. I wish we could magically afford to send him somewhere, even just two days a week. I will be bringing him to the Camden community center in Jan once a week for their "Two's" program. My only problem with it is that i can't just drop him off there & do errands AND samantha is not allowed to be there too (not that she'd participate, but i don't have a sitter for her, nor do i have the $$ for one). so i'm figuring it all out with my mom somehow. ugh... I guess it could all be worse ($$), I could be in the position where working was NOT an option, like after Auggie & Hayden...

Samantha is a sweetie, though a bit of a turd sometimes. She thankfully sleeps completely through the night (12hrs!!), BUT won't really nap during the day. I shouldn't complain too much, BUT it would be nice if she could get back to napping when Hayden naps so that I can nap too!! ;-) She's becoming a wiggle-worm as well. She can turn herself 360! & she talks a lot right now. lots of weird noises. Her favorite one reminds me of what a baby Wookie would sound like. goof.

Me? eh. not that interesting. The kids are way more entertaining.
BUT, i did buy Justin the Lego Star Wars for the Wii, and through *some* coercion, have been playing it a lot too. It's a good game. silly. frustrating too.
I also ended up giving him his x-mas gift early. I kinda had to b/c I needed his advice/opinion on weather or not to pay more $$ and get it for the Wii, or get it for a killer sale with the PS2 ($89 @ target, TWO guitars!). We went for the cheap. So now I'm highly addicted to Guitar Hero III. Of course Justin is a PRO at it already since his boss MAKES him play several times a day. Only at Google.
In turn, justin gave me one of my gifts early too. He got me a Garmin Nuvi 360!!! I've been not-so-gently hinting that i wanted one for the van. It's pretty sad that after two years of driving the hybrid (using the Nav) I have suddenly lost all sense of direction in a city I have lived in for 27 years!!! I guess this is an example of how we can end up depending on technology too much in our daily lives. One time my cell phone battery was completely dead, so I had to leave it at home & go to work with out it. I felt soo icky & wrong & naked in a way. The saddest part about that is that no one ever calls me. & if someone really needed to get a hold of me, they knew my work #. What are we going to do when robots take over the world and deem us Monkeys? I guess we'll just text-message the robots that we'd like more socks.

I'm tired, can you tell?

Dear Santa....

well, Justin sorta asked me to make a "list." I guess that means he doesn't really know his wife anymore?!?! J/k

Navigation for the van OR iPhone
Nice Belgium waffle iron
jewelry (well, what woman doesn't, right?)
Cool games for the Wii, Spyro-type.
New "Mommy" calender
a *little* digital camera that actually holds it's battery charge
Heat-proof (for reals) spatula for cooking. Ours keep melting!!!
good books to read
Nice Tart-making pan
Hand mixer
That 3-1 cupcake/cake tote i saw at Michaels one day
those clear glass mixing bowls, the set of 3
clothes are always good
Make-up lesson
Oh & someone to teach me how to walk in heels!!! Stoopid Google party!! My mom never had any heels, so i never practiced as a kid. which is just as well since I would've broken my ankle anyway, much like i'm going to do in 2 weeks. fun fun.

and YES Santa, I've been very good this year!! I think giving birth for the third time w/o medication should give me immunity.

Always busy....

This week was pretty good I think. Busy as usual. It started off kinda crappy, with Auggie having a case of the stomach flu. Then later Hayden began complaining of an earache, and lo and behold he's got an ear infection! So THATs been fun. Little Sammy-Girl is just sorta along for the ride.
We also went to Alex's 4th birthday party at Bonfante Gardens. I hadn't been there since my days at CDI/CDC, and a lot has changed. It's cleaner & nicer, and ALL the rides were working! Auggie, Alex & Shawn had an absolute blast running around together going from ride to ride. Hayden held in there pretty good, but after awhile just couldn't keep up with his big bro. Then Grandma got him a push-duckie that he was happily attached to the rest of the time. Samantha liked looking at everything & smiled at anyone who would talk with her. She's already very social!
Sunday was pretty relaxing. I'm working at McD's again to help Mom out since a bunch of people quit & she has few closing managers anymore. It's weird being there again after soo long. A lot has changed, but a lot has stayed the same. I almost like the monotony of McD's as opposed to teaching, ALMOST. rude customers & low-pay & the fact that the work is a lot more fast paced than with kids is my motivation to continue school & finish my credential. But it is nice to be out of the house & away from my gremlins for a little while.
Next week looks to be kinda hectic. A lot of stuff on wednesday & friday, all while I'm still crossing my fingers that Sammy doesn't get sick from the various germs in our house right now.

What's new...

sooooo much! First, Samantha was born, 8/22/07. She's been our "easy" baby. No colic and she LIKES to sleep. I would even say that she sleeps through the night now! Well, she wakes at 5am, but goes back to sleep after she eats. Both Auggie & Hayden love her to pieces! They are such great brothers.

I've stopped working. Child care just costs too much. Auggie still goes to Pre-K, and Hayden & Sammy are home with me. Not that I'm not busy, mind you. I babysit 2-3 days a week & have joined Las Madres for both Hayden & Samantha, though admittedly meshing better with the 2007 group. I even got to coordinate the decoration of the Las Madres Club 2007 Christmas tree in San Jose's Christmas in the park! It's good to still have "outlets."

I'll be starting school again in jan. I'll be full-time with the units, even though I'll only have class 2 days a week. Hopefully, I'll be excepted to go to Antigua, Guatemala for three weeks this summer for a Teaching internship that will put me a lot closer to being done with school. I know, I'm nuts right?!?!? school & three kids... eh. What can I say? I get bored easy.
What other plans do we have? To buy a house in the next year (woo-hoo market crash!!!) and one day open a Bakery. (see.... always scheming)

what else...? hmmm.....
I pierced Sammy's ears today! She's such a trooper. She only cried for the initial part, then found her hand, sucked on it a little, and fell asleep. She's like mommy: Just sleep it off & everything will be fine when you wake up. She hasn't tried to pull on them & doesn't seem bothered by them at all, even when I turn them. Good girl....

More babies?
maybe. Let's just say we are not taking those permanent measures like we were thinking we'd do. Yes we're crazy, but we both like babies. Only one more though. & knowing us, we'll probably have a boy! & not until Sammy is potty trained! ;-)
