Voy a Guatamala...
En 23 de Mayo, hasta 14 de Junio....
I gotta brush up on my Espanol. I just found out that I am on the list of students who are going to Antigua, Guatemala for 3 weeks for International Student Teaching (through SJSU). This is a part of my Credential program, & this experience will not only enlighten me as a teacher, but will dramatically shorten the amount of time I have left in school! (yea!). So after this externship, I will do my full-time (read as: "work for free") student teaching in August, which bumps my completion date up by 6 months. I'm very torn though. This means 3 weeks without my babies. I will be working hard & i know time will go by fast, but i'm really going to miss my little ones. :(
& I don't even know if I even *want* to go back to work in the first place. Life is much easier right now. (sorry SAHM's. It is MUCH easier to stay home & care for kids than to work & do the same...).
& of course I'll miss Justin, but I know he can fend for himself. hmmm.... I wonder in what state of disarray the house will be when I return... Hopefully the kids would have eaten things other than quesadillas, pizza & panakukan....
::sigh::

What an opportunity - but I agree, leaving the kids will be hard. You probably think staying at home is easier because you have experience in childcare/development and your kids are well behaved. I know some kids that would make me RUN back to my office! :) Yea ... when their moms tell me how much harder it is at home, I think,"No $hit, your kids are terrors!" :P
